Elizabeth "Bette" Harper is a charter member of the Pacific Coast Contact Lens Society, having held the office of Executive Secretary and member of the Board of Directors. She has been a member of the Contact Lens Society of America for close to two decades, holding fellow status for the past fifteen years. In addition, she has been fitting contact lenses for practitioners for over 35 years. A California licensed optician, Bette owned and operated her own private contact lens practice in California for eight years. She is certified by the National Committee of Contact Lens Examiners and certified by the Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology, having completed a post graduate course in Contact Lens Technology there in 1985.
